Hearts for Hearing is partnering with Cochlear Americas for a presentation on Current Trends in Childhood Hearing Loss on November 20, 2009 at Francis Tuttle VoTech in Oklahoma City. This is a two part series and part one will focus on variations in surgical technique, the importance of preservation of delicate cochlear structures and their effect on patient performance and outcomes. Trends in CI candidacy, including bilateral implantation and new generation cochlear implant technology will be explored. Additionally, participants will have the opportunity for hands-on troubleshooting practice of cochlear implant technology.
