The Oklahoma City Museum of Art is partnering with Hearts for Hearing this year and offered to host the "Hero in Training" themed summer camp experience and serve as home base next week June 20-24. Daily excursions and listening activities have been planned to stimulate new language for our children born deaf for hard of hearing, all the while having outrageous fun and new experiences.
We look forward to an exciting week with the following participating partners! OKC Museum of Art, OKC Philharmonic/Orchestra League, OKC Thunder, OKC National Memorial and Museum, Downtown OKC Library.
"This summer camp week has been fun for the team to plan and organize, expressed Lindsay Hanna, Hearts for Hearing Camp Director. "I have enjoyed working with Chandra Boyd, Senior Associate Curator of Eduction for the Oklahoma City Museum of Art. We make a great team!"
The Hearts for Hearing Summer Camp is sponsored by the OKC Museum of Art, Oklahoma Arts Council, and Ad Astra Foundation.
