OK Listening and Spoken Language Institute 2010

On behalf of Hearts for Hearing, it gives us great pleasure to invite you to attend the first annual Oklahoma Listening  and Spoken Language Institute July 26th through August 5th, 2010. The first of its kind in the state of Oklahoma, the OK LSL Institute 2010 will provide educators, speech-language pathologists, audiologists, and early interventionists the opportunity to gain knowledge and skills essential for teaching children with hearing loss in the 21st century.

It will be a hallmark two weeks of innovative professional development filled with lecture learning, guided teaching and coaching practice followed by ongoing mentoring opportunities that you will not want to miss.

We are excited that this initial OK LSL Institute will take place in the new first-class facilities at the John Keys Speech and Hearing Center located on the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center campus.

We would like to thank our collaborative partners: The Oklahoma State Department of Education, Special Education Services and John Keys Speech and Hearing Center for their contributions to make the OK LSL Institute 2010 a reality.

If you are an Oklahoma public school employee, the Oklahoma State Department of Education will pay your registration fee for this Institute. There are currently 40 positions remaining. Simply complete the registration form and submit.

We look forward to seeing you this summer!

Please see attached brochure for OK LSL Institute information. For questions please contact Wendy Demoss, (405) 548-4308 or wendy.demoss@heartsforhearing.org.     OKLSLINSTITUTE2010.pdf
