Summer Camp: Day 2, The Performing Arts

Summer Camp: Day 2, The Performing Arts

Today the campers are well on their way to finding that “performer” inside.  If you see a Hearts for Hearing camper you might hear them break out in song! We visited the recording studio of James Williams. The children enjoyed singing and recording a production with Ms. Amy and Mr. Steven. The children enjoyed the singing their favorite songs with Amy and we look forward to hearing the results of their creation.

The children learned about Web Design and Graphic Arts during a visit to WebDesign.com a company in Edmond. They enjoyed a tour of the facility and finding out more about the relationship between technology and the arts.

The campers spent the afternoon at Crossings Community Church. This church has graciously offered their facility for our camp experience. In the afternoon the children experienced the art of professional face painting by Mona Lisa Face Painting and learned to do a magic trick.

You might ask your camper if they know any tricks…that is if you recognize them after their new face paint job!

Thank you to James Williams, Amy Potts and Mr. Steven along with WebDesign.com personnell and Crossings Community Church for their generosity in helping to create this amazing camp experience!

It was a wonderful day of listening and learning!
