Thanksgiving Humor for Your School-Age Child

Thanksgiving Humor for Your School-Age Child

Children around age six to seven years have generally developed enough language to understand humor.  They are beginning to understand multiple meaning words and have a nice understanding of human emotion, not just “happy” and “sad.”  Telling jokes allows a child the opportunity to direct the conversation, to demonstrate understanding of conversational exchange, and as simple as it may seem to make you laugh.  They get so much excitement out of seeing you smile or making you laugh.  It makes them smile right back!  Try out some of these Thanksgiving jokes on your school-age child.
